Waste Management

This visionary project aims to definitively end a six-decade-long garbage problem that has plagued our beloved city of Dagupan, beginning with the rehabilitation of the waste management systems at our local dumpsite, Tondaligan.

During the groundbreaking of the Tondaligan Ferdinand Rehabilitation and Re-engineering Project, Mayor Fernandez passionately affirmed the importance of this venture, declaring it to be a momentous day in our city’s history. Her stirring words were, “This is an important day in history that would be marked and remembered many years from now…There is no more time to waste in solving Dagupan’s garbage problem which we miserably failed to rid off our back like a monkey for the last 60 years.”

In this spirit, the Mayor’s Waste Management Project isn’t just a plan for the present, it’s an essential commitment to our future. It is a decisive stride towards a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Dagupan. With this initiative, we set forth a significant legacy, not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come.
