In an effort to provide our citizens with round-the-clock medical attention, Mayor Belen has spearheaded the establishment of a 24-hour emergency health center, a testament to her unwavering dedication to public health and welfare.

On July 19, in preparation for this vital transition, Mayor Fernandez led the blessing of our city’s latest health assets – ECG monitoring, ultrasound, and x-ray machines. Located in our city’s Diagnostic Center, these modern facilities join the ranks of the recently acquired CT scan machine, generously provided by the Department of Health.

Mayor Belen is not just proud of these developments but is thrilled to announce that these essential health services will be provided free of charge for our indigent fellow Dagupeños, starting tomorrow. The availability of free ECG, ultrasound, and x-ray services exemplifies the Mayor’s unwavering commitment to healthcare equality and access.

Our City Health Officer, Dr. Ophelia Rivera, is diligently working towards operationalizing the CT scan services and ensuring the necessary training for our dedicated personnel. The aim is to serve approximately 20 patients per day for ultrasound services every Tuesday and Friday. By October, we anticipate our CT scan and other laboratory/blood tests to be fully operational.
