With education as the foundation of real progress, the City Government of Dagupan led by Mayor Belen Fernandez, continue to prioritize the construction of new school buildings, classrooms and educational facilities, following the groundbreaking of a new Three (3) Storey, Nine (9) Classroom School Building for West Central Elementary School I (WCESI) today, November 17.
“This project represents hope, opportunity, and a clear direction for our education sector…This is what it means to build a city that lives by the principle of Pamilya Puso ng Progreso, where every program and project is rooted in the well-being of our families,” words of Mayor Belen Fernandez.
Vice Mayor BK Kua represented Mayor Belen during the event together with DepEd Dagupan Schools Division Office representative, Myrel Lopez, Administrative Office V; WCES I School Principal Dr. Renato Santillian; Asst. School Principal Marilou Taminaya; School PTA President Rashid Macaalin; Liga ng mga Barangay President Councilor Marcelino Fernandez, City Engineer Josephine Corpuz and CEO personnel.
With the government working together with one vision for the people of Dagupan, Mayor Belen thanked the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Kua and the New Majority Councilors, “Sa inyong suporta, malasakit, at tunay na pakikipagtulungan, mas mabilis na naisakatuparan mga ganitong proyekto.”
Mayor Belen also extended her gratitude to the Department of Education for working closely with the city in strengthening schools and improving learning environments.
