PWDs RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM DSWD

DAGUPAN CITY – Four  persons with disabilities (PWDs) received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) – Field Office 1 to be used by them in procuring their own assistive devices at the city museum on August 6.

The first batch of beneficiaries include Joshua F. Dabu of Bacayao Sur, Carl Joseph Vinoya of  Lucao, Wilfredo Tuy of  Pantal and Alejandro Casipit of Lucao. The four PWDs are suffering from various orthopedic disabilities and are in need of new wheel chairs.

The financial assistance given by the DSWD ranges from P5,000 to P10,000 each.  This will enable the four to purchase their own wheelchairs with provision that receipts and proof of purchases will be turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) to ensure that the financial assistance was used accordingly.

Another batch of PWD beneficiaries are scheduled  to also receive financial assistance for their respective assistive devices. (Verdelle De Vera/CIO)
