At least 9,026 families in the barangays have been provided with their respective PhilHealth Member Data Records or MDRs by the city government as financial protection for the marginalized poor in times of hospitalization and other health services needs. The PhilHealth premium was paid by the city government. Families belonging to the 4PS and NHTS (National Household Targeting System) can avail of health services from any government facilities free of charge as long as it is covered by the PhilHealth program. For those covered by the primary care benefit package, they can avail of free check up, medicines and laboratory services at the City Health Office. Shown in the photo is Mayor Belen T. Fernandez along with the beneficiaries from Lasip Chico, Lasip Grande, Herrero-Perez and Pogo Grande and members of the Barangay Councils. (CIO photo by Jojo Tamayo)
