The City Government of Dagupan has once again been recognized for its commitment to transparency and accountability after successfully earning the 2025 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH).
The recognition was conferred through the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) Region 1 under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), affirming the city’s compliance with government standards on sound financial management and fiscal transparency.
The Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping is awarded to local government units that demonstrate responsible financial administration, proper utilization of public funds, and compliance with key financial and transparency requirements.
Mayor Belen Fernandez attributed the recognition to the collective efforts of the city’s department heads, employees, and elected officials who continue to uphold integrity and accountability in public service.
“This recognition reflects our commitment to ensuring that every peso entrusted by our people is managed responsibly, transparently, and for the benefit of every Dagupeño,” Mayor Fernandez said.
The City Government remains committed to strengthening good governance practices and ensuring that public resources are utilized efficiently to deliver quality services and meaningful development programs for the people of Dagupan.
