As part of the 2025 Bangus Festival culminating activities, the City of Dagupan continued its month-long celebration by grilling 25,000 Bangus (Milkfish) during the 2025 Kalutan ed Dalan held at the Judge Jose de Venecia Highway Extension on Wednesday, April 30.
Dubbed the Bangus Capital of the Philippines, the city surpassed its grilled Bangus record from the previous Kalutan ed Dalan event with an additional 5,000 upgrade from the 20,000 pieces of Bangus grilled last year.
Mayor Belen Fernandez, together with Vice Mayor Dean Bryan “BK” Kua, led the ceremonial lighting of grills as a symbol of the city’s vibrant cultural landscape and identity in Bangus farming and trade.
Among those who joined the local chief executive in the ceremonial lighting of grills were Senator Grace Poe, Senator Francis Tolentino represented by Jeb Tolentino, Senator Bong Revilla represented by Actress Wilma Doesnt, Abono Partylist Representative Congressman Robert “Eskimo” Estrella, Las Piñas Representative Congresswoman Camille Villar, Former 4th District Representative Congresswoman Manay Gina de Venecia, Milpitas City, USA Vice Mayor Garry Barbadillo ESQ, Ninai Chavez, City Councilors, LGU Department Heads and Employees, Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, and Visitors and Guests from all over the region.

Slated on the same day, the much anticipated Bangusan Street Party, consisting of nine different concert stages, upheld its record from last year, garnering a million combined viewers from both online and offline platforms.
Headlining the CSI Stage (1) are Pinoy Big Brother: Otso 5th Big Placer Fumiya & PBB Gen 11 Big Winner Sofia “Fyang” Smith alongside OPM legends Sponge Cola, Karylle, Tj Monterde, KZ Tandingan, Rico Blanco and Ian Veneracion.
Several artists also joined in with different activities taking place in the rest of the stages:
